Spanish Horse or PRE (Pure-bred Spanish Horse) is the official name given to this equine breed in Spain. The name was created in the twentieth century by the ANCCE (National Association of Pure-bred Spanish Horse Breeders).
ANCCE, set up in 1972 and based in Seville, is the international parent association of PRE. It is in charge of the registration book for the PRE on an international level and of organising SICAB (International Equestrian Trade Fair) held in Seville each year since 1991.
